Youth Fundraisers

When you hire a kid from a fundraiser campaign, a portion of their earnings goes directly to their cause — Scout troops, PTAs, sports teams, and more.

How it works: Kids join a fundraiser campaign and a configurable percentage (e.g. 20%) of each job payout is automatically tracked toward the campaign goal. Customers hire normally — the kids do the work, earn their pay, and the fundraiser total grows with every completed job.

Fundraiser FAQ

How does a school fundraiser work on Mowtivated Kids?

Your school or PTA creates a campaign with a goal. Kids sign up and get a shareable profile link. Every lawn care job they complete contributes a set percentage to the campaign. Customers hire kids through the normal platform — no extra steps needed.

Can Scout troops use this for fundraising?

Yes! Scout fundraising ideas for 2026 don't have to involve selling cookies. Scouts earn real money doing real yard work in their community, and a portion goes to their troop's goal.

What percentage goes to the fundraiser?

Each campaign sets its own contribution rate (default 20%). If a kid earns $35 on a job and the rate is 20%, $7 is counted toward the campaign goal. The kid still takes home $35 — the fundraiser amount is tracked separately.

How do I get my organization set up?

Click 'Start a Fundraiser' above, fill out your org info and campaign goal, and you'll get a shareable campaign page within minutes. Kids and parents can join from the campaign page.
