Terms of Service

Welcome to Mowtivated Kids. By creating an account or using the Mowtivated Kids platform (“Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Who can use Mowtivated Kids
You must be at least 18 years old to create a customer or parent account. Kid accounts must be created and managed by a verified parent or legal guardian. By creating an account on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are that minor's parent or guardian and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Platform description
Mowtivated Kids is a marketplace platform that connects homeowners (“Customers”) with local kids and teens (“Providers”) for lawn care and yard work services. Mowtivated Kids is not a party to any service agreement between Customers and Providers. We provide the technology and infrastructure; the actual services are performed by independent Providers.
3. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. Providing false information, including misrepresenting your identity or relationship to a minor, is grounds for immediate account termination.
4. Parent responsibilities
Parents who create accounts for minors take full responsibility for supervising their child's participation on the Platform. This includes reviewing and approving all jobs before the child accepts them, ensuring the child has appropriate safety equipment, and monitoring the child's activity. Mowtivated Kids provides the parent approval workflow as a tool — final responsibility rests with the parent.
5. Customer responsibilities
Customers agree to provide accurate job descriptions, fair compensation, and a safe work environment. Customers must not require Providers to perform work beyond the scope of the posted job. Customers understand that Providers are minors and agree to treat them appropriately.
6. Provider responsibilities
Providers (kids and their parents acting on their behalf) agree to: complete jobs they accept in a timely and professional manner; use appropriate safety equipment; communicate promptly through the app; and notify the Customer and their parent if they cannot complete a confirmed job.
7. Payments
All payments are processed in-app through our payment provider (Stripe). Customers pay after job completion. Providers receive payment after the Customer confirms completion. Mowtivated Kids may charge a platform fee, which will be disclosed at the time of transaction. All fees are non-refundable except as described in Section 8.
8. Refunds and disputes
If a job is not completed, the Customer may request a refund through the app within 48 hours of the scheduled completion date. If a Customer and Provider dispute a job outcome, both parties may contact support at [email protected]. Mowtivated Kids will review the dispute and make a final decision within 5 business days. Our decision is final.
9. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any user
- Request or perform work outside the Platform to avoid fees
- Post false reviews or ratings
- Misrepresent your identity, age, or relationship to a minor
- Attempt to access the accounts or data of other users
- Use automated tools to scrape or access the Platform
- Post jobs or profiles that contain offensive, discriminatory, or illegal content
10. Photos and content
By uploading photos or other content to the Platform, you grant Mowtivated Kids a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform. You retain ownership of your content. You represent that you have the right to upload any content you provide.
Do not upload photos of minors without the consent of their parent or guardian.
11. Limitation of liability
Mowtivated Kids is a marketplace platform and is not responsible for the actions of Customers or Providers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mowtivated Kids is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or any services arranged through it.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to Mowtivated Kids in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mowtivated Kids and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or behavior that endangers users. You may close your account at any time from Account Settings. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose before termination.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Michigan.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
